The Idea Behind This Blog

On the 1st of each month, a new room will be revealed. Be inspired by the colour combination used in the room, the patterns, the decor, the textures, the objects in the room or by what the room is itself (for example, for a kitchen, create a page about cooking with your kids). My wish is for you to be inspired to scrap YOUR photos the way YOU want to, with a little assistance in the way of inspiration from us here at BTD. August Challenge No. 4

Hello everyone,

Welcome to another month and another challenge.

This month, we have chosen this gorgeous room for you:







Here are some of the amazing CT samples (more to come in the next few days) including our very talented Guest CT member, Crystal Goulding.

"Hey all, I’m Crystal Goulding and I currently live in Ipswich, QLD. I am lucky to have three beautiful children who are definitely not camera shy, perfect for a scrapaholic like me!I have only been Scrapbooking for about 3 years but have been lucky to be published in both Scrapbooking Memories and Scrapbook Creations, as well as being part of a few Creative/Design Teams. You could describe my style as grungy, with lots of paint, rubons and a “must have” for me, doodling!"

We have 2 OPTIONAL criteria to accompany this room:
1. Use a black and white photo
2. Use fabric.

Thanks to the lovely ladies who entered the July Challenge. Winners will be announced soon. I really hope we have many more participants this month.

Be sure to keep an eye on the blog, as things will be changing in the near future, and we'll be mixing things up a bit. I am very excited about what's in store. One of the main changes is that from this month, this will not be a compeititon site, but rather an inspiration site. That means, there are NO PRIZES this month.

I would rather this site inspire you to scrap the photos YOU WANT to scrap and for you to be inspired by the rooms to scrap those photos just for the sake of preserving the memory. I feel like sometimes people feel overwhelmed trying to scrap a page for the sake of a competition, so I am removing the competition element from this site. I really hope you will all continue to be inspired and will still play along and share your projects will us.

Happy scrapping! Can't wait to see what you all create.

  1. Great Idea Catie, sometimes ppl have told me that they have felt overwhelmed in comp sites, wondering if their work is good enough to win. I have always gone in with the thought - it'd be nice to win but at the end of the day - i already have.. - i scrapped another photo with the limted time i have and to me anything i do win will be a bonus.. :) I will still be playing along happily this site is great !

  3. Hopefully I find time to play along this month!!!
    I personally Love Challenges, I play along challenges that have Inspired me, not cause of the Prizes.. Don't get me wrong I love a Prize, who doesn't... LOL! I like the recognition of My Layout more than a Prize!!!!
    I'm just happy to Scrap scrap scrap...
