Hi, my name is Cathy Cafun. I live in sunny Brisbane with my husband Yves of 25 years and 2 teenage children Luke and Brittany. I have been scrapping for about 6 years now and just LOVE it!! I have tried many crafts over the years but once I was introduced to scrapbooking by a friend, that was it for me, I had found my passion and I have been hooked ever since. The last year or so I have found my work has really evolved and I find I am becoming more adventurous and creative and am constantly trying to challenge myself to think outside the box.
I don’t think I have a particular style, but I do love the beautiful feminine pages am very partial to the grungy distressed look. My inspiration usually comes from photos of my family, and I just let my creations flow from there. I really enjoy experimenting with new techniques and I ADORE colour!!!
I find browsing blogs, online galleries & mags a great source of inspiration and have a growing addiction to challenge sites as they are a great way to get you out of your comfort zone and have a go at things you wouldn’t normally try. There are so many awe-inspiring artists on these sites and I spend hours looking at all their fabulous work and finding new and creative ideas to get the juices flowing.
I am currently on CT’s for Kraft It Up, Bird Is The Word and Challenge Heaven, and have just finished a 6 month term as a designer for White With 1. I have also had the pleasure of being a Revolving Door Artist at The Colour Room.
Scrapping is the perfect way to record all those precious family memories, whilst being creative and having time which is just for ME… what more could a girl ask for!!

I live in sunny Darwin, with my incredible husband and 3 rapidly growing, energetic boys!
I was introduced to scrapping 9 years ago when I had many sleepless nights trying to contain all the endless possibilities racing through my head! I didn’t really get into it until the last 5 years and it has only been in the last couple of years that I’ve discovered the online world and that has opened yet again, a whole new world of possibilities, which I feel like I can’t get enough of!
Home for me is now ‘Chat with Charm’ forum and I’ve made so many online friends, I love it!
Its hard to choose which are my favourite scrapping products but I lurve patterned paper & fabric and I can’t seem to go past ribbon either....then there’s chippy and bling and non-scrappy stuff! I also love playing with paint and all the wonderful different letter stickers out there, the list goes on! I love trying new techniques and trying to use products in different ways and adding non-scrappy stuff to my LOs.
The ‘challenge’ world is so inspiring and I love being made to get out of my comfort zone on most occasions! I certainly did not ever dream, even a year ago, that I would be doing any of this! I love that the online world has helped me grow and develop in this amazing craft. That is one goal certainly achieved, as well as being published in a magazine for the first time, this month.
As for my future goals, I would like to continue to be published, but I think more importantly, for my family to continue to love the memories that are being recorded page by page and for me to continue to grow in this amazing, enriching craft we all share!
